Merry Christmas Eve!

I wanted to wish you all a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! I hope this upcoming year is a lot better for me and my family. This month was hard for me as I lost two relatives. My grandpa died on December 1st and my uncle Noe died December 21st. My daughter Lily was in the hospital for almost a week for pneumonia.

Although I had all this going on I knew the Lord will help me through it all. I put my trust and faith in Him and all will be well.

I hope everyone remembers the reason for the season and thanks the Lord for all the things in their lives. I have been trying to teach my kids to be happy with everything they have as there are people less fortunate than them. Gifts come from the heart and it's the thought that counts. I just hope it sinks in and they remember what I "preach" when they get older and have their own children.

I'm kinda in a funky mood this morning so if I don't make sense I apologize. It doesn't help that I've been up since 5am and only a couple hours of sleep.

Just remember to appreciate all the people in your life that you love and tell them that you love them daily because you don't know if that will be the last time you see them alive.

Time for work

Lily goes to the doctor today. I am hoping to hear good news about the pneumonia clearing up. Her dad will actually be taking her as I have errands to do. I honestly do not want to leave my warm bed. It’s cold and raining outside. This krazy weather – I hate you!

It’s going to rain all week some tropical storm going haywire. Anyways, this is the first day of winter break for the kids. It’s after 8am and yes they are still sleeping. I’ve been up since 4am not by choice mind you. Faviola woke up for her feeding and then decided to fight her sleep for two hours. Now I am watching Barney Christmas with Lily who has also been up since before 4am.

I really think I am going to try to potty train Lily during this winter break. She really hasn’t shown signs to learn and I do not want to push her or force her.
I am also supposed to clean my room as I have lots of laundry to put away. I don’t know if I want to – feeling tired. It’s only natural with having a newborn, a toddler who doesn’t sleep during the night and everything in between.
Starting in January I need to focus on finding a job - any job to help pay the bills. I am also going to put my name on the waiting list for CNA training at Fresno Adult School, times are hard and I need to get my butt in gear. I do love being home with my babies but moma needs a job!

Hopefully I will find a job soon. It’s been a couple of years since I last worked. I am a hard worker when I am working and I love helping others. I mostly worked fast food or as an office assistant. I also babysit from my home at reasonable prices. I can do this! I know I can! Let’s just see if these trying times go in my favor and I am blessed with a job.

I’ll let you know how the job hunting goes.

Friday December 17th, 2010 - Update

Wow, it’s Friday already! It seems as though my week went by pretty fast. In a way it kind of did. I was at Children’s Hospital most of this past week as Lily got pneumonia.

She had been sick for over a week before her stay the hospital. It all started before the 7th of this month. She seemed fine in the beginning of the month. I got sick and lost my voice on the 3rd. It was a little difficult for me when I was at my Holiday Boutique in Coalinga.

I got quite a few responses for my drawing. I also got a few sales and was very happy to meet new people while I was there. I was next to a At Home America rep, she was very friendly and we exchanged business cards.

Anyways, back to Lily. I don’t think this had anything to do with it but I’ll let you all decide. As I stated earlier I got sick on the 3rd and felt it on the 4th. That Saturday the 4th we were at my aunt & uncle’s new home. They moved in that day and it was a family gathering as everyone helped them out. Lily drank from my cup and before then she was fine. On Tuesday the 7th she got sick. I really don’t know if that had anything to do with it.

She had a cough and seemed fine. Then out of nowhere she had a high fever over 104. My boyfriend took her to Children’s and they gave her a chest x-ray and she was clear. They told him she had a virus and that it would go away. They sent them home. Lily was given Tylenol and ibuprofen alternating between the two.
It didn’t seem as though Lily was getting better so Antonio took her to the doctor on Friday the 10th. Again they told him she had a virus and prescribed Benadryl. Well Lily started to sleep more and refused to eat or drink anything. All weekend it was like this and we got worried. I was worried because she was taking all these meds and not eating or drinking anything. I did not want her to overdose on these meds.

I took her to the doctor on Monday the 13th, the nurse noticed Lily had a slight fever and her oxygen levels were low. She called the doctor in right away. She listened to Lily’s lungs and heard fluid in there, more her right side than anywhere else. She told me she what she heard and was diagnosing Lily with pneumonia. I was getting in a panic mode but managed to calm myself down. She then called the main doctor and he confirmed what the NP had diagnosed. He told me Lily had acute pneumonia. I was trying to keep it together and not freak out.
He gave me a note and told me to go Children’s and if they had a problem with taking Lily in at that moment to give him a call. Before I started to drive I called my mom as she was caring for Faviola my newborn. Then I called Antonio to let him know what was going on.

Lily got seen right away and didn’t have to wait all night for the doctor to actually see Lily. When the doctor said he was going to admit Lily my heart dropped. I was still trying to keep calm (which is hard for me).
Lily was very dehydrated that they needed to put a iv in so that they can give her fluids. She did not cry when they did this. They also took out blood to check for bacteria in her blood and run other tests.
It didn’t take much time after that for Lily to get her own room. I was very emotional inside because I was unable to help my child. As she lay in bed she seemed unresponsive. I started to break down little by little. I did not want anything to happen to her. I wanted her to get better but I knew it wasn’t up to me. It was in God’s hands and also hers as she had to fight it off. Her little body as I think back I just want to cry.

On Thursday she came home and we watched tv together. I loved it!
I am sitting next to her today and I see her big beautiful smile and her body full of life. I thank God she is ok. She isn’t out of the woods completely as she still has pneumonia and on antibiotics. But I am glad to have her home and have her smiling.

Wednesday Worries

Ok so I know I haven't posted in awhile. I have been really tired with my new baby girl Faviola. She will be 1 month old on the 25th and she is almost 9 pounds already. I took her to the doctor today for a follow up and I was surprised at how much she has grown. I am so happy and excited.

I had been worrying a lot lately. First off, my ex-husband had his parole hearing this past Monday. I was kinda scared as well as my oldest daughter. He is in prison for trying to kill me. It is not something I look forward to when he is going before the board. But I was told he signed a stipulation of five years, meaning he won't go before the board again til 2015.

Second, I am still attending class to become a tax preparer. I should finish mid December. I hope I do well so I can get a seasonal job. I could really use the money to help pay off some old debts and splurge on my kids. Maybe buy me some new clothes as I need them.

Third, I still want to sign up for CNA class as I want to get into nursing. I figure that is something I can do and it will benefit my whole family. I need a good paying gig with six kids. They tend to get a bit expensive, especially my teenage daughter.

I would also like to get married someday (again). My boyfriend has brought it to my attention that in this economy we need to have good income coming in. As like I said before I have six children to support.

I won't be able to post as often as I would like to, because I am sooooo tired all the time. I will try my best to keep you all updated on what's going on in My Krazy Life.

Goodnight!

Life Lessons from Jim Rohn

Life is worthwhile if you TRY.
Try something to see if you can do it. Try to make a difference. Try to make some progress. Try to learn a new skill. Try your best. Give it every effort.
Life is worthwhile if you STAY.
You have to stay from spring until harvest. If you have signed up for the day or the game or the project, see it through. Don't end in the middle.
Life is worthwhile if you CARE.
If you care at all, you will get results. If you care enough, you will get incredible results.
Care enough to make a difference.
Care enough to turn somebody around.
Care enough to change.
Care enough to win.
Life is worthwhile if you PLAN.
If you don't design your own life plan, chances are you'll fall into someone else's plan.
Life is worthwhile if you GIVE.
Giving is better than receiving because giving starts the receiving process.
Life is worthwhile if you BE.
Wherever you are, be there. Develop a unique focus on the current moment.
Let others lead small lives, but not you.
Let others argue over small things, but not you.
Let others cry over small hurts, but not you.
Let others leave their futures in someone else's hands, but not you.

"Hold yourself responsible for a higher standard than anybody else expects of you. Never excuse yourself. Never pity yourself. Be a hard master to yourself and be lenient to everybody else."
~Henry Ward Beecher

One Flaw in Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.....

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in..

They stand up to injustice.

They don ' t take "no" for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They ' ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what

makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their

family and friends.

Women have vital things to say

and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

Please pass this along to all your women friends and relatives to remind them just how amazing they are.

Sack Lunches - an email sent to me

Sack

Lunches

I put my carry-on in the

luggage compartment and sat down in my assigned

seat. It was going to be a long flight. 'I'm

glad I have a good book to read. Perhaps I will

get a short nap,' I thought.

Just before take-off,

a line of soldiers came down the aisle and

filled all the vacant seats, totally surrounding

me. I decided to start a conversation.

'Where are you

headed?' I asked the soldier seated nearest to

me.
'Petawawa. We'll be there for two

weeks for special training, and then we're being

deployed to Afghanistan

After

flying for about an hour, an announcement was

made that sack lunches were available for five

dollars. It would be several hours before we

reached the east, and I quickly decided a lunch

would help pass the time...

As I reached for my

wallet, I overheard a soldier ask his buddy if

he planned to buy lunch.  'No, that seems

like a lot of money for just a sack lunch.

Probably wouldn't be worth five bucks.

I'll wait till we get to base.'

His friend agreed.

I looked around at the

other soldiers. None were buying lunch. I walked

to the back of the plane and handed the flight

attendant a fifty dollar bill.  'Take a

lunch to all those soldiers.' She grabbed my

arms and squeezed tightly. Her eyes wet with

tears, she thanked me. 'My son was a soldier in

Iraq ; it's almost like you are doing it for

him.'

Picking up ten

sacks, she headed up the aisle to where the

soldiers were seated. She stopped at my seat and

asked, 'Which do you like best - beef or

chicken?'
'Chicken,' I replied,

wondering why she asked. She turned and went to

the front of plane, returning a minute later

with a dinner plate from first class.

'This is your thanks.'

After we finished

eating, I went again to the back of the plane,

heading for the rest room.

A

man stopped me. 'I saw what you did. I want to

be part of it. Here, take this.' He handed me

twenty-five dollars.

Soon after I returned

to my seat, I saw the Flight Captain coming down

the aisle, looking at the aisle numbers as he

walked, I hoped he was not looking for me, but

noticed he was looking at the numbers only on my

side of the plane. When he got to my row he

stopped, smiled, held out his hand and said, 'I

want to shake your hand.' Quickly unfastening my

seatbelt I stood and took the Captain's hand.

With a booming voice he said, 'I was a soldier

and I was a military pilot. Once, someone bought

me a lunch. It was an act of kindness I never

forgot.' I was embarrassed when applause was

heard from all of the passengers.

Later I walked to the

front of the plane so I could stretch my legs. A

man who was seated about six rows in front of me

reached out his hand, wanting to shake mine. He

left another twenty-five dollars in my palm.

When we landed I

gathered my belongings and started to deplane.

Waiting just inside the airplane door was a man

who stopped me, put something in my shirt

pocket, turned, and walked away without saying a

word. Another twenty-five dollars!

Upon entering the

terminal, I saw the soldiers gathering for their

trip to the base.
I walked over to

them and handed them seventy-five dollars. 'It

will take you some time to reach the

base.

It

will be about time for a sandwich.
God

Bless You.'

Ten young

men left that flight feeling the love and

respect of their fellow travelers.

As I walked briskly to

my car, I whispered a prayer for their safe

return. These soldiers were giving their all for

our country. I could only give them a couple of

meals. It seemed so little...

A veteran is someone

who, at one point in his life, wrote a blank

check made payable to 'The United States of

America  ' for an amount of 'up to and

including my life.'

That is Honor, and

there are way too many people in this country

who no longer understand

it.'

Thank you to all the men & women who are fighting for our freedom! We love you and appreciate all you are doing for us. May God Bless You!
Return Home Safely.

8 Friends EVERY Woman Needs

I seen this on my moms group site and I thought I'd share.

http://www.prevention.com/8friendseverywomanneeds/list/1.shtml

1. A Childhood Friend
She can still remember the boy-crazy, artistic girl you were at 16.
Longtime intimates are special for many reasons. They knew you and your family while you were growing up and likely have many memories and stories of you that no one else does. "These friends remind you that you are still the person you've always been," says Rebecca G. Adams, PhD, a leading friendship researcher and sociology professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro.

Nurture these ties by starting a members-only Web site—groups on Yahoo, Google, or Facebook are free and make it easy. Use them to plan vacations or share links to digital photo albums. Or keep things low tech—just stick a card in the mail now and then, and stay in touch with phone calls. Research from the University of Notre Dame shows that people who chat at least every 15 days have the best chance of staying close over time.

2. A New Friend
Unlike members of your grade school crew, newly acquired pals have no preconceived notions about you.
"As we get older, we can fall into ruts," says Pamela McLean, PhD, a psychologist in Santa Barbara, CA. "New friends ignite different kinds of thinking and fresh ways of being." What's more, they'll connect you to another network of people, says Rosemary Blieszner, PhD, a professor at Virginia Tech who has researched friendships among older women. That network can be helpful if you’re looking to make a career change or find a new pool of potential dates.

Find new friends at the office, befriend your kids’ friends’ parents, or try new activities, like that Zumba class at the gym.

3. A Workout Friend
She’ll drag you out for a jog on days when you’d rather be parked on the couch.
Experts agree that exercising—whether walking, golfing, or salsa dancing—is one of the most important things you can do for your physical and mental health and longevity. And a good friend may be the glue that makes this healthy habit stick. A University of Connecticut study of 189 women ages 59 to 78 found that strong social support was key to maintaining a new exercise regimen for 1 year.

4. A Spiritual Friend
Being part of a spiritual community—not necessarily an organized religion—helps people stay resilient, research shows.
A study from Duke University Medical Center found that people who regularly attended religious services or engaged in activities such as prayer, meditation, or Bible study had a 50% lower risk of dying over a 6-year period than others of the same age and health status.

That's not to say it's easy to forge a connection in a room of 300 worshippers or while meditating on your own. Seek more intimate opportunities at a local church or temple: Volunteer in a canned food drive campaign, or attend a lecture series. Or try a neighborhood yoga center or community college; they often offer spiritually meaningful courses.

For best results, set a joint exercise goal together—whether it’s going for a neighborhood walk 4 days a week or running a 5K. It's the best way to boost the get-healthy payoff of a workout partner because neither of you is poking and prodding the other, which is a recipe for resentment, says Marcia G. Ory, PhD, a researcher at Texas A&M Health Science Center.

5. A Younger Friend
How did you juggle your full-time job and three kids? Your 10-years-younger friend really wants to know.
Research shows that an essential element of a happy life is to nurture and feel useful to others—by cooking a wholesome meal, say, or passing on what you've learned through experience. For many women, that itch gets scratched by raising children. But mentoring younger friends (from the office, for example) can give you that same feeling, Blieszner says.

To maximize the benefits of this friendship, let advice flow in both directions. A younger confidante can explain the social networking site du jour or offer a fresh take on current events.

6. Your Partner’s Friends
Becoming tight with your husband’s pals is good for your marriage.
The more a couple's family and friends intermingle, the happier spouses are after even just 1 year of marriage, found one study that examined the social circles of 347 couples. "We were surprised," says researcher Kenneth Leonard, PhD, a professor of clinical psychology at SUNY Buffalo. "Including your spouse in your network of friends is nearly as important for marital happiness as making them feel they are a part of your family."

7. Your Mom
About 85% of adult women say they have a good relationship with their mother, according to a Pennsylvania State University study.

Despite the inevitable conflicts between grown moms and daughters, the relationships are generally strong, supportive, and close. "There is great value in this bond because mothers and daughters care so much for one another," says study author Karen L. Fingerman, PhD. If you’d like to be closer but run into the same roadblocks over and over, here’s some advice to overcome the most common issues.
You find it hard to enjoy time with mom: Stop trying to change her, and focus on what you do enjoy, says Fingerman.
You keep clashing over the same old issues: The women who had the strongest relationships didn't take the conflicts personally. Instead, they tended to see criticism as a reflection of their mother's habits or traits.
The relationship feels too close for comfort: Daughters who did the best with this accepted that their mothers wanted more time together. Instead of telling their moms what they couldn't do, these daughters focused on when they could get together and what they could do for their mothers.

8. Yourself
If you’re like a lot of women, you’d drop everything to help a friend in need—but often don’t pay yourself the same respect.

So, how does one befriend herself, exactly? It starts with self-knowledge, says Prevention advisor Pamela Peeke, MD, MPH, an assistant clinical professor of medicine at the University of Maryland. “Getting to know yourself is an amazing adventure,” she says. “Think of what makes you fall in love with someone: how genuine, sincere, and caring they can be; the unconditional love they offer, no matter what. Doesn't that describe how you should feel about yourself?”

Peeke recommends you repeat the following mantra as a reminder: "I love and honor myself as I do the other important people in my life." To give yourself the TLC you deserve, write down seven things that make you feel happy and healthy (cooking dinner, talking to a friend, running, reading a book), and make sure you do at least one every day.

It's a Girl!!!!

On October 25th, 2010 I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl. She weighed 7 pounds and 3 ounces and was 20 inches long. Her name is Faviola Elena.

Now the birth was kinda krazy. I was scheduled for a c-section on that day but I was to check in at 11am and have the procedure done at 2pm. Well here is the krazy part at 6 am I start to have contractions and they feel pretty intense. i just kinda brushed them off and then got worried when they were about 5 minutes apart. I got in the shower and headed to my mom's to drop off Lily. This was about 8am or so. I got to the hospital and told them I was having contractions and they were about 5 minutes apart.

I got taken to the triage part of the birthing center and got hooked up to the machine to measure the contractions. Then I was checked to see how far dilated I was. I was at a 5 already in just those two short hours. I was then prepped for surgery and the whole process didn't even take that long before I knew it I heard the sweet sounds of crying and I knew my baby was born.

I was very excited to meet my new baby girl and happy she was healthy. We spent the next couple of days at the hospital as I had to recover from my surgery. I do have to admit I really enjoyed my stay there as I was the one being taken care of for a change.

Once I got home reality hit me hard. I returned to the stress of the kids and significant other. Sure it was ok the first couple of days then it was the same ol shit that I dread everyday. I know I should be happy but I am not. My kids and SO are unappreciative and they make feel horrible all the time. If I have any type of "feeling" I am told I am childish that is not what I want and I feel stuck. I don't know what to do any more and I am starting to just give up, maybe it's the postpartum depression talking, but what was the excuse before I gave birth. I still feel the same way. Maybe it will be easier not to feel so I won't let them get to me.

On a different note, I am very happy about my baby girl and happy to have her with me.

Got this in an email

Hello Again!

Wow it's been like two months since I last posted anything. Guess I have been pretty busy. Here's the update on what's going on with me.

On October 25th I am scheduled for my c-section to deliver my baby girl. I am very excited to meet her and will be relieved as well. My boyfriend is picking out her name and he doesn't have one yet. I am about ready to pick it out myself, but since I told him he could I will let him. I just hope he doesn't keep me in suspense too long. I am a bit nervous about going into surgery after all every surgery small or big is risky.

I have been busy trying to get my Gold Canyon Candle business off the ground. I also joined Discovery Toys recently. I love that their toys teach Lily as she plays with them. I also have them for the kids I babysit for in my home. I started a babysitting business in my home. I like to care for children and help out parents in the process. So if you live in the Fresno/Clovis area and are in need of a childcare I am your sitter. I can only babysit in my home as I have my little ones I care for as well. You can go to my website HERE and check out what I have to offer as well as the rates.

I had my first babysitting gig this past week. It was for a little boy named Elijah. He is two and a half and he was such a joy to have around. I babysat him for a full week while his mother was away at business. I have to admit I did get attached to him. My kids liked having him here to.

My boys are still in Boy Scouts and I am trying to get them involved in karate. We went to a meeting today and they seem to like it. I hope the cost is reasonable and I can afford it. I think it will help them to build their self confidence and self esteem up.

I  have made a tremendous improvement on my bedroom. If you were unaware of this I am a pack rat. Which means I do not like to throw anything out. I have been looking through the many boxes I have left and slowly been getting rid of stuff. I am so proud of myself. I have also got a handle on my impulsive shopping. I try really hard not to buy thing I do not need, because if I do it just ends up in the pile of stuff I don't want to get rid of.

Did I also mention I am taking a tax preparer class? I am hoping to get hired on for a seasonal position. I have been working really hard to understand all the tax laws, credits and everything else. I pray I do get hired on. This will be a great opportunity for me and my kids.

Well that is just an update for now. I will try to blog at least once a week. I could really use the break and it helps me to not feel so overwhelmed & stressed. Til I blog again....

Birthday Bash

Well last night we went to my little cousin's 16th birthday bash. We had sooooo much fun.
I was dancing up a storm with Lily and Bella. My cousin Sunny was up there most of the time dancing with all the kids.

Antonio, Lily and I danced a spanish song together. It was really nice. Lily also managed to her her dad up there to dance with her a second time.

It was nice to spend time with my family and be there for this great coming of age party. My daughter Alanis will have hers in three years so i guess I need to start planning and save up. I will have help from all the Padrinos. Plus I want to get her a starter car, her first car for her present.

Here are some pics of the party:

My kids had fun. Family means everything to me and just being surrounded by some of my family members it felt real good. I miss gatherings like this one. My family doesn't do this often as everyone went their own ways or don't bother to include you in their "parties," in those cases I guess I am not missing much. Since after all I think that just bulls@*t.

Til next time I blog....

Fall – it's closer than you think…CHECKLIST for success

(I found this posted in one of my yahoo groups and I though I'd pass it on.)

Oh boy – it seems like summer is in full swing and yet as it draws to a close
the Back to School ads are abundant. Can it be that it is already that time? Are
you READY?

1. Calendar check – if you have school aged children, go to your school's
website and transfer the calendar dates (as they are known so far) into your
planner or PDA. That way you will know when you can schedule your parties.

2. If you haven't already done so – focus for the next week on connecting with
those in your customer base who don't have school aged children. Moms of infants
and preschoolers, empty nesters, singles and grandparents. THESE are the people
who will have more time to host parties for you between now and mid September.
Look at who these hostesses were last year at this time and call them first!

3. Watch the Back to School sale ads and stock up on any supplies that you might
need for the busy fall season. Now is a great time to restock your supplies of
pencils/pens, customer folders and file folders at a great price.
I am already doing this as I want to be ready!
4. Order your new fall product kit. Fall traditionally is a busy time when you
see lots of customers before the holidays. The adage of "if they see it, they
will buy it" is a good rule of thumb!
I bought mine and I enjoyed all the new products!
5. Stock up on business supplies. Order your fall catalogs, order forms and
recruiting brochures.
In the process of doing this!
6. If you didn't give your samples a spring cleaning this past April or May,
DEFINITELY do so before fall is in full swing. For a professional presentation,
it is important that your samples look FRESH and NEW!

7. Take out your calendar right now and schedule a back to school coffee with
neighborhood moms. (Remember YOU are the hostess who NEVER says NO to YOU!) This
is a great way to reconnect after the long summer and show off your new fall
samples (and sell off any old samples at a discount!)
Need to do this!
8. Revisit and reset your office hours for the fall. When will you be working?
Designate time each week for phone calls, recruiting appointments and parties.

I thought this would be very helpful for others. I know it will help me.I have some of these done and need to work on the others. I plan to have a great fall, full of parties and sales.  I just need to work hard and promote myself. Good Luck you all!

Thursday's Thoughts

I started a new Meetup group!!! Fresno Women Entrepreneurs. We are currently looking for sponsors of all types. Message me for more details!!!! Get your business seen and your name out there.

I also joined a lot of groups like play dates for Lily and me to attend. School starts on August 16th and I want us to get out there and make new friends. Speaking of school my daughter Bella started her first day of kindergarten today. I called her and wanted to know how it went. She liked it a lot. I talked to her grandmother Irene about how she did on her first day. You know we seem to talk well regarding Bella. Anyways, my boys found out what class they are going to be in. I still can't believe my kids are growing up so fast.

I wanted to let you all know that my vendor show went well last week. There was more people than I had expected. I ran out of my goodie bags quick. I was able to make some contacts. It being my first show and all, I now know what to do better. Especially when it comes to filling out the contact cards. Here are some pics of my setup:

I am finally the mom of a teenager as Alanis turned thirteen on sunday the 8th. I am so proud of her, she is such a beautiful young lady. Did I mention she wants to be a doctor when she grow up, so she can help those who cannot afford to help themselves.

You know I am her biggest fan! Well next to my mother. She also tried out her photography skills here are some of her pics:

I am attending a Gold Canyon training event on tuesday. It will be a launch party for the new holiday line. I am so excited as I already got my holiday package and I enjoyed all the new products and the holiday scents. I also have been challenged to recruit team members before october as I am trying to make manager. If you ever thought about joining Gold Canyon or would like a discount because you are a scented candle lover then won't you sign up today! Go to my website: http://www.kozycandles.com and join! August is the last month to join for $20! Want a kit when you join? Sampler is three payments of $24.99 and full demo is three payments of $49.99 plus tax/ship.

I will also be having my first giveaway soon! So check out the giveaway page and get the latest scoop.

Surfin' Saturdays - Networked Blogs ~ August 7th

I am joining this new blog hop let's see how it goes.

In the last two days I've watched movies with my kids. Thursday night was the Tooth Fairy starring The Rock and Ashley Judd. This movie was HILARIOUS! It had me laughing all through it. The Rock was great and not to mention great to look at. Ashley's performance was great, but then again I love all her movies as she is an awesome actress. My kids really enjoyed this movie night we shared together.

Friday night we watched Kick Ass I really don't remember the main characters name but Nicolas Cage also starred in this movie. This movie not only had me laughing but in awe of the little girl who can kick some ass. In the movie she was great at fighting the bad guys and can definitely handle her own.

I am not a movie critic so may not be good on movie reviews, but I can say this if you have kids at home I think they will be satisfied with these two movies. if you've seen them let me know what you thought and if you haven't what are you waiting for.

The mall was krazy today as the kids are shopping for school. We shopped at the Fashion Fair mall JC Penney to be exact. They had some good deals on the clothes and I was able to save over $150. The clothes are cute and expensive as well. I can't remember the last time I actually shopped at the mall so I was in shock of the prices. I hardly shop at the mall. I am more of a Walmart shopper. That's my fave store. Especially with all the kids I need to save money along the way.

After the mall we went to IHOP for dinner. The kids ate free. They are having a promo for the month of August, one free kids entree (drink not included) with the purchase of an adult entree. This is everyday from 4pm - 10pm (participating stores only). I ordered the Tuscan Chicken Griller with seasoned fries and the Strawberry lemonade drink. This burger was mouth watering. I was in heaven with this chicken, especially the roasted tomatoes. The fries and the lemonade was not bad either. I am more of a chicken eater than I am meat, so naturally I wanted to give this meal a try. I give it 5 stars in my book.

So here comes the best part after dinner we went to guess where......ya you guessed it Walmart! Antonio wanted to take pictures of Lily since she was dressed up so beautiful. He says he doesn't see her dressed up often. I told him well we are always at home why dress up with no place to go. We will try to get out more and have fun in the process. But another reason I'd rather stay home is i feel drained all the time. this pregnancy is really taking a toll on my body, not to mention the insomnia. If any of you out there know of a safe way to treat insomnia I am all ears. I need some good night's rest.

It was a great day today! I am glad we went out and enjoyed ourselves. Saturday is clean up day! We are going to clean the house top to bottom as the party is on Sunday for my daughter. She is excited about turning thirteen. I hope she has a better party than I did at her age. Oh ya my daughter got invited to go to China next summer, some school program. We will go to the meeting and find out all the details. Don't know if she is going but nice to hear form the other students who went this past summer.

I put Buddy outside for the first time tonight. Let's see how he does. It's his first night in the big outside world. In case you don't know who Buddy is he is my almost 5 month old Chi Beagle. I find it hard to house break him and I wanted my laundry room back. He can do all his stuff outside like regular dogs. If you know of a good way to house break a puppy I am all ears as I do not know what I am doing.

I am still trying to potty train Lily so she can go to preschool. I do not want too force her as I do not want to traumatize her. I figure she will go on her her. Like I said I just don't have the strength right now. I am going to start on my prenatals tomorrow hopefully they will help with the tiredness.

That's all for now til I blog again! Good night ya'll at least I am going to try to fall asleep.
